Utah Man Killed in Crash on I-15 in Nevada
SALT LAKE CITY — A 22-year-old man from St. George, Utah, died Tuesday morning after his vehicle struck a construction truck on Interstate 15 in Clark County, Nevada.
The crash happened around 6:45 a.m. on July 31 near mile marker 106, about 11 miles south of Mesquite, according to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the accident involved a 2022 Kia Forte sedan and a 2024 Isuzu NPR-HD cone truck. The Isuzu was parked in a construction zone between the left shoulder and leftmost lane with warning lights activated, while the driver was placing construction signs.

Investigators reported that the Kia, driven by William Rance Bill, 22, of St. George, was traveling southbound in the left lane when it collided with the rear of the parked Isuzu. Authorities said the Kia’s driver failed to follow the state’s “move over” law requiring drivers to shift lanes when approaching maintenance vehicles.
Bill was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Kia was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that remain unknown.
The crash remains under investigation.
