Semitruck Driver Dies in Rollover Crash on I-70 in Sevier County

SALT LAKE CITY — A man was killed Friday morning in a rollover crash on Interstate 70 in Sevier County, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

UHP spokesperson Cam Roden said the driver was heading eastbound before 7:30 a.m. when the semitruck struck a concrete barrier several times, causing it to overturn. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.

Authorities reported no additional passengers in the vehicle. Crews were working to determine the truck’s cargo. Roden added that the left lane would remain closed for several hours on Friday as the investigation and cleanup continued.
