Minor-Injury Crash Causes Major Delays on SB I-15 Near Spanish Fork

SPANISH FORK, Utah — A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 in southern Utah County brought heavy traffic delays for southbound drivers Thursday morning.

The collision occurred in the Benjamin area, just south of Spanish Fork, in the southbound lanes of I-15.

According to Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Takesha Durrant, the crash involved two vehicles and resulted in minor injuries. No one required transport to the hospital. One vehicle came to rest off the right shoulder, while the other ended up in the median.

Debris from the crash was scattered across the interstate, and at least one lane was shut down as crews worked to clear the scene.

Traffic backups stretched for several miles as motorists slowly made their way past the crash site.
