Wrong-Way Crash on I-15 in Southern Utah Leaves Three Dead
ST. GEORGE, Utah — A tragic wrong-way crash on Interstate 15 in southern Utah left three people dead and two others injured Sunday evening.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 6:15 p.m. when a Cadillac sedan entered the freeway at Exit 5, traveling southbound in the northbound lanes. About a mile later, the Cadillac collided head-on with a Toyota Highlander.
The Cadillac’s driver, a woman in her 90s, died from her injuries. She was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The driver and front-seat passenger of the Highlander — a man and a woman in their 70s — were also killed in the crash.
Two additional passengers in the Highlander, women in their late teens to early 20s, were flown by air ambulance to a nearby hospital. Authorities said their injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
The incident remains under investigation by UHP.
