Truck Driver Dies After Crane Boom Hits Lehi Train Overpass
LEHI, Utah — A tragic accident on Sunday morning claimed the life of a commercial truck driver in Lehi after his vehicle struck a train overpass and overturned.
According to the Lehi Police Department, the incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. near 2100 North and 2000 West. Authorities say the truck was transporting a crane with its boom raised too high when it hit the overpass. The impact caused the driver to lose control, leading the vehicle to roll.
The driver, who was partially ejected from the passenger side window, became pinned underneath the truck. Emergency crews pronounced him dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been made public.

Fortunately, no other individuals were hurt in the crash. The overpass — which allows trains to cross above the road — only suffered surface-level damage and remains operational.
Road closures were in place near 2100 North and 2300 West while authorities managed cleanup and investigation efforts. Officials expected the area to reopen by early evening.
