Teen Motorcyclist Dies in Crash on Bangerter Highway in Bluffdale

BLUFFDALE, Utah — A 17-year-old motorcyclist tragically lost his life in a crash on Bangerter Highway near 2700 West, authorities reported.

According to Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Danny Allen, the teen lost control of his motorcycle and entered a closed construction zone, where he collided with the back of a barricade truck. The impact caused fatal injuries.

Troopers and investigators responded to the scene to collect evidence, interview witnesses, and document the crash. Sgt. Mike Alexander stated that all eastbound lanes of Bangerter Highway were closed for several hours as the investigation continued, with traffic being diverted to 2700 West.

Officials urged drivers to avoid the area due to heavy delays.
