SALT LAKE CITY — A crash on Interstate 80 near the Salt Lake City airport caused traffic delays Monday morning after a pickup truck was rear-ended and ended up facing the opposite direction on top of the concrete median.
The incident occurred before 11 a.m. on eastbound I-80 near 4000 West, according to Lt. Cameron Roden of the Utah Highway Patrol. Authorities said an 18-year-old driver struck the back of the pickup, forcing it to spin and land on the barrier.

Three passengers were in the teen’s vehicle. It’s unclear if the pickup had anyone inside besides the driver. No injuries requiring hospital transport were reported.
The left lane was closed while crews and a tow truck worked to clear the scene, which has since been reopened to traffic.
