Man killed in off-highway vehicle rollover crash near Miller Flat Reservoir

MILLER FLAT RESERVOIR, Utah (KUTV) — A Davis County man was killed in an off-highway vehicle accident after a rollover crash near Miller Flat Reservoir in Sanpete County.

According to the Utah Department of Natural Resources law enforcement division, the 43-year-old man was riding an OHV on Saturday when it rolled over, fatally injuring him.

Officials said the victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. His identity has not yet been released, and the cause of the accident remains under investigation.

“We are thankful for the response from the Sanpete County and Emery County Sheriff’s Office,” DNR officials said in a statement.

Authorities urged riders of off-highway vehicles — including ATVs, side-by-sides, dirt bikes, and four-wheelers — to always wear approved helmets and to research trails before riding, as one accident can prove deadly.
