Eastbound I-80 lane closed near Salt Lake after truck/trailer rollover crash

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — One eastbound I-80 lane in Salt Lake City is blocked after a truck/trailer rollover crash.

Sgt. Andrew Battenfield with Utah Highway Patrol said the silver pick-up truck towing a 30-foot camper trailer was traveling eastbound on I-80 near 5800 West when it rolled.

No injuries were reported.

The eastbound lane on the right shoulder remains blocked as tow trucks make their way over.

“It will take a while to get that all cleaned up,” Battenfield said.

The Utah Department of Transportation estimates the road to reopen by 4 p.m.
