Car Crashes Into American Fork Building

AMERICAN FORK CANYON, Utah (Cockaynelaw) — A crash occurred Saturday morning when a suspected reckless driver lost control and struck a building after an alleged impaired driver cut them off.

According to Lt. Quinn Anderson with the American Fork Police Department, the incident was reported shortly after 11:30 a.m.

A witness observed a white passenger car traveling recklessly southbound on 500 East as a red pickup truck headed northbound on the same road. Both vehicles turned eastbound onto State Street, where the pickup pulled in front of the car.

The white car collided with the truck, veered off, and slammed into a nearby building. Two occupants of the car suffered possible injuries.

Police said the pickup’s driver, a man in his 50s, may have been impaired at the time. The building was empty when the crash happened.
