Semi-Truck Carrying Soda Crashes Off I-5 in Federal Way

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — A semi-truck veered off southbound I-5 during Friday morning rush hour, landing approximately 200 feet off the highway near South 375th Street, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Trooper Rick Johnson reported the crash around 7:17 a.m., sharing photos that showed the truck’s path through brush and a trail of spilled soda behind it.

The truck driver sustained minor injuries. Authorities have not yet confirmed what caused the vehicle to leave the road.
