UTA Train Delayed After Truck Collides with Blue Line in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY — A truck crashed into a UTA TRAX Blue Line train near 800 South and 200 West around 6:45 a.m., causing minor service delays.

According to Utah Transit Authority, the truck was heading westbound when it ran a red light and struck the train, tipping onto its side. The truck driver sustained minor injuries. No injuries were reported among the passengers on board.

A bus bridge was temporarily set up for all TRAX lines but has since been canceled, and normal service has resumed.
