3 Injured After Vehicle Collides with Parked Semi on I-80 in Tooele County

SALT LAKE CITY — Three people were injured Monday night when a vehicle collided with a parked semitruck on Interstate 80 in Tooele County, the Wendover Fire Department reported.

The crash occurred around 8:20 p.m. near milepost 25, about 16 miles west of Knolls. Authorities said the westbound vehicle struck the rear of the semitruck, which was stopped on the right shoulder.

The impact caused severe damage to the vehicle, injuring all three occupants. Wendover Ambulance crews treated the injured at the scene.

The Utah Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
